Description
Lacock
Set in rural Wiltshire, Lacock village, dating back to the 13th century, is famous for its picturesque streets, historic buildings and its more recent role as a television and film location. Delve into the history of Lacock’s wool industry, which made it a prosperous, thriving town during the Middle Ages.
Roman Baths
No tour of Bath would be complete without a visit to the famous Roman Baths that gave the city its name. This beautifully preserved bathing complex still flows with water from Britain’s only hot spring. Marvel at the dazzling torch–lighting ceremony as dusk falls (not applicable in summer) and sip Bath’s healing waters in the Pump Room, a stunning neo–classical salon.
Optional two-course early evening dinner
To complete this day in style, you can add a delicious two-course evening meal to your tour.
Private Viewing at Stonehenge
The true meaning of this ancient, awe-inspiring creation has been lost in the mists of time. Was Stonehenge a temple for sun worship, a healing centre, a burial site or perhaps a huge calendar? How did our ancestors manage to carry the mighty stones from so far away and then, using only the most primitive of tools, build this amazing structure? Surrounded by mystery, Stonehenge never fails to impress. Exclusive entrance into the stone circle allows you to wander in and around the world heritage site and gain an up-close and personal experience of this iconic monument! Discover the legendary history of Stonehenge and be seduced by its magical mystery.
Estimated arrival time back in London is around 10 pm (11 pm in July and August due to later sunsets).
